HPPID Annual Residents Meeting & Election - Monday, September 25, 2006

All High Pointe residents and other interested parties are invited to attend HPPID’s Annual Residents Meeting (ARM) on Monday, September 25, 2006.  The ARM begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. in the old sanctuary of High Pointe Baptist Church (HPBC), 101 High Pointe Lane, Cedar Hill.  High Pointe Baptist is located at the corner of High Pointe Lane and Old Clark Road.  High Pointe residents can cast their vote for nominees who have filed for the three HPPID Board vacancies.  In person voting will be held from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. in the HPBC foyer.  Results of the election for new HPPID Board Directors will be announced during the ARM.

The ARM is the HPPID Board’s last meeting of the fiscal year and affords Board President Michael Quildon with the opportunity to recap HPPID’s fiscal year and to introduce plans for the new fiscal year which begins on October 1, 2006.  Other agenda items include presentations on video camera surveillance by Omni-Systems and Cedar Hill’s new “Adopt-a-Park” program.

    Five High Pointe residents have filed for the upcoming board election. Area 1 candiddate (1 vacancy) is Rod Reed; Area 2 candidates (1 vacancy) are Kelvin Crump and Jan Lovell; and At-Large candidates (1 vacancy) Jerry Gregory and Gerald Andrews. Election ballots and candidate bio-sketches will be available on Monday, September 11, 2006. Hard copy ballots will be available Monday, September 11, 2006, at the Cedar Hill City Hall and the Zula Bryant Wylie Library. The ballot and bio-sketches can also be downloaded from the HPPID web site http://www.highpointeinfo.org. Early voting runs through noon, Friday, September 22, 2006, and in-person voting will be between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m., Monday, September 25, 2006. at High Pointe Baptist Church, 101 High Pointe Lane.
