At the Water tower station, Flameleaf and Tuley, a company called “Tree Service” is in the procss of cutting down trees. Would like to know what are the future plans for this location. The trees helps the area look more like a residental area instead of a City business.

Irrigation has been included and plants will be added behind the split rail fence. As those plants mature, the area will have a much “warmer” feel.

I have some old fence panels that I need to dispose of. Can I place them with my trash?
I seem to remember something about they need to be cut into smaller sections but not sure.
Thanks
Tim Jones

Mr. Jones,
They may be too large to go out with the regular trash pickup. If so, you can utilize the new monthly brush pickup program. The city’s website has a link that will show when your neighborhood is scheduled for pickup.

I live on Grady Lane and Fuller in Cumberland at High Pointe, I guess we bought our house back in April, and at the same time someone bought the house next door, granted both houses were in a condition of a normal foreclosure, but we made it a point at our house to make our yard look decent and trimmed some of the trees, we are contemplating cutting them down, but basically the neighbor next door does nothing to their yard, they might cut it every one or 2 months, they do not trim their hedges at all, we call it the haunted house because thats what it looks like, there are web worms in their shrubs, they are migrating into my yard, ive already had to throw away a couple plants because of it, they are a breeding ground for bugs, what can i do about this, we pay so much for our house and to live in what we thought was a decent neighborhood, it just shouldnt be tolerated, and the owner is a teacher at the high school, go figure

Dear Anonymus,
thank you for you comment!
I would suggest that you call the Code Enforcement Departement of the City of Cedar Hill. You will find their phone number on the City of Cedar Hill webpage or the government pages in the phonebook.
