HPPID Board Special Meeting – Saturday, September 9, 2006

HPPID’s Board of Directors has scheduled a special meeting (workshop) for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 9, 2006. The workshop will be held in Room 19, High Pointe Baptist Church, 101 High Pointe Lane, Cedar Hill. The workshop is to consider various options concerning fence and landscape enhancements along the alley between Curtis and New Clark and Curtis and Cedar Valley. High Pointe residents, especially those residents who live on Curtis and in the Creekside sub-division, are invited to attend this special meeting.
Backgound: HPPID’s budget contains an approved line item for a capital expenditure project for the enhancement of the alley between Curtis and New Clark and Curtis and Cedar Valley. Proposals include fencing and landscape options. Irrigation has already been added to the right of way in the project area. Four sample fencing options have been temporarily erected along New Clark near Couch. The four options include two rail and three rail (ranch rail) fence, a six foot security (privacy) fence, and a six foot open picket fence. These options could be used in their entirety or in combination with decorative landscape. Another option is to only plant a decorative landscape and a final option is to do nothing (leave as is). Plans also eventually include a low, stone or brick decorative monument reading “Creekside at High Pointe” at the corner of New Clark and Cedar Valley. Comments on this proposal, including recommendation(s) on the type of preferred fence, can be made by providing comment to this blog, e-mail to HPPIDInfo@aol.com or by attending Saturday’s meeting The Board welcomes your input.

I am very sorry I could not make the workshop concerning the fence on New Clark and down Cedar Valley. I hope there was some community input on this project. I look forward to having a fence (preferably the 6 foot security fence) and a Creekside monument/landscaping. Thank you to the PID Directors for your service to our community. Karin (Creekside Resident)

At the workshop, the board moved to erect a 6.5 foot privacy fence along the alley. Special height restrictions will be addressed at the corner clip, due to height visibilty requirements and electrical poles. Notification lettes to the residents living alongside that alley are in the works. Special thanks to the many residents who attended the meeting and/or voiced their thoughts at the meeting or through emails.
