High Pointe PID Board of Directors schedules election.

September is election month for the Cedar Hill Public Improvement District #1, more commonly known as the High Pointe PID.

Four of the Board’s seven positions will be up for election, and we would like to urge anyone interested in serving the High Pointe community to run for a board membership.

The High Pointe Public Improvement District has accomplished so much since it’s inceptition. However, it takes dedicated people  from the community to step up to the plate to make decisions that affect what High Pointe will look like in times to come.

The PID manages nearly $400, 000 annually, and before long the PID will handle half a million dollars a year.

NOW is the time for YOU to consider giving a little of your time back to your community!

The four board positions that are open are as follows:                  

                      Area 3  Director – one position – all homeowners who live west of New Clark Road and south of Wintergreen Road are elegible for a board position.

                    At Large Director  – three positions  – there are three board positions open to ANY homeowner of High Pointe.

Being elected to the PID board means attending several meetings during the year.  Generally the board meets in October, November, February, April, May, June, August, and September. The meetings normally last from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.  The board consists of a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. These are board elected positions.

In addition there are committees that will meet occassionally to consider such things as fencing, landscaping, and other items vital to this community.

If you are considering running for the PID board, you need to have submit the following:

Bio sketch ( short), including your name and address and how long you lived in High Pointe  Reason why you want to be on the PID board.  If you like to include other pertinent information, feel free to do so, but remember to keep it short.

All of this information must received no later than 12:00 noon, August 30, 2007.

Notice of Meeting, Board of Directors
Cedar Hill Public Improvement District # 1 at High Pointe (HPPID)

The Board of Directors of the Cedar Hill Public Improvement District #1 at High Pointe (HPPID) will conduct its July meeting Thursday, July 12, 2007. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in Room 19, High Pointe Baptist Church, 101 High Pointe Lane, Cedar Hill. TX 75104. This meeting is a regularly scheduled meeting of the HPPID Board of Directors and is for the purpose of conducting business matters that impact on the High Pointe community. The meeting includes a public hearing to receive resident input and comment pertaining to HPPID’s 2007-2008 operating budget, five-year funding requirements plan and recommended assessment rate. Citizen’s Forum will also be conducted. The agenda for the meeting will be available on Friday, July 6, 2007. The meeting is open to the public and all interested residents are invited to attend.     This meeting is a regularly scheduled meeting of the HPPID Board of Directors and is for the purpose of conducting business matters that impact on the High Pointe community. The meeting will include discussion of major expenditures recommended for inclusion in HPPID’s 2007-2008 fiscal year budget.  Citizen’s Forum will also be conducted.
